My Helios 300 (2020) cpu gets really hot during gaming and I can see that my cpu fan rpm is 5000 and wont go above that. Is this rpm ok? or should my fans reach higher rpms? My laptop has the 10th gen core i5 cpu with rtx2060 gpu.

First check using max fan speed option in preadtor sense see if your fan go above 5000 rpm because these work on max 6000 rpm

They do usually run hotter than desktops and maybe even other laptops.
If you are using such a machine for the first time, its common to be alarmed but i think you should be fine and get used to it with time.
CPU fan does exceed 6000 RPM, but try enabling cool boost and set the fans speed to max. Then check the RPM, it should now be over 6000 RPM.

Try to be specific about the temperatures, in Degrees, feeling something to be hot is completely relative.
You can monitor your temps in Predator Sense.
Chances are you might just not be used to how hot gaming laptops get in general.
But it's always a good choice to check if everything is normal.

Rahatkhan if your temps arent going over 85'ish cpu 70/75 dgpu max youre fine if they are above optimise your windows properly and undervolt it check here (because theres nothing official yet get the previous gen conf and go from there tweak it yourself manually at your own risk of course) and if still needed repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding your warranty or send it back to acer to get it repasted with stock paste good luck :)

    UserBenchmarks: Game 32%, Desk 89%, Work 26%
    CPU: Intel Core i5-8300H - 87.8%
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti (Mobile) - 32.4%

    RAM: Micron 8ATF1G64HZ-2G6E1 1x8GB - 46.7%
    MBD: Acer Predator PH315-51

These are my temps five minutes into running assasins creed odyssey in game benchmark tool. I enabled cool bost and set my fan speed to max it still stays at 5000 rpm. It was 94 before taking ss btw it dropped beacause either the game was minimized or the predator app isnt consistent or smth.

My temps are constantly at 85-94 fluctuating. fps drops then it drops to 85degress, fps increases it goes to 94. I dont think 10th gen i5 is undervoltable it doesnt come with a factory default uv as well i think like the 2019 helios which does come with a factory default uv.

I understand that gaming laptops gets hotter than desktops but when it becomes so hot that my fps drops to 80 on the division and my friend with a asus tuf laptop which costs almost half less than mine gets 80fps as well its depressing I  spent twice as much for nothing. If my fps dropped after a while of gaming i wouldnt have complained but its dropping within 10minutes of gaming beacause of the thermals. Plus his laptop is atleast 2years old and my one is brand new didnt even pass one month.

The hardware on ur laptop is really powerful, its just the thermals. U can fix them by changing the thermal paste. U can give it to acer to change the thermal paste(without voiding warranty) but they will replace it with the same stock paste. U can ask them to repaste it with a good thermal paste provided u provide them with the paste. That should most likely solve the problem. Also watch for some background program hogging ur cpu thus contributing to unnecessary heat.

Is this already resolve? How? Thanks in advance
