Helios 300 - sound problem all of a sudden

The1BanditThe1Bandit Member Posts: 2 New User
Hi all
I was happily watching a youtube video on chrome on the laptop. Had to leave for 30 mins. Came back, unlocked the laptop to continue watching but I had an error saying problem with sound device and to reboot. Did this and no sound on laptop at all. Several more reboots - same.
Tried doing sound troubleshooting and get audio service error (the services are running and tried restarting all I can find).
Tried reinstalling Realtek drivers - same no sound
Disabled sound >> reboot >> reenable - same no sound.

Any recommendations...? Anyone have any idea or further stuff I can try..?

Any help appreciated

Paul

    Hi all

    I've fixed it! [Removed content]

I changed the Windows Audio service >> log on to use Local Service and it's working.

No idea why it changed or stopped (maybe windows update!?) but I'm happy (for now)

    Sorry to bother you all
