How do I increase my CPU performanc? Is there something I can buy? Or is there something I should do

I have the Predator Helios 300, it has an Intel Core i7, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti. I just started streaming but due to the stream having to broadcast my screen/the game at all times, the game is running on super low fps and high ping. I heard that the solution is somewhat related to CPU or RAM, I was wondering if there's something I should buy or something I'm supposed to do on the computer itself. Help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Firstly, how much ram have you got and what type of ram have you got installed? As increasing ram and upgrading the rams speed is a simple way to increase performance. Get CPUz and get all the specs of either your cpu or your installed ram at the “SPD” section.

Allot of cpu's are locked, cpu locking is done to lock the clock multiplier permanently or till the clock limit is not removed, so it is a restriction on overclocking or to protect the CPU from further damages. These locked models are denoted with ‘K’ in Intel and ‘Black’ for AMD.

Note: overclocking is method triggering main processor or graphics controller, but systems such as RAM are also involved in this process which leads to an increase in power consumption and fan noise. Due to overclocking many manufacturers gives the extra functionality of safety to deal with operating conditions outside the control of manufacturers. The disadvantage of overclocking your Intel processor is overheating and more power usage. Ultimately, heating will result in decreasing the life span of your CPU.

If you want to overclock? “Be careful as overclocking a cpu can damage your cpu especially in laptops, where there is very limited cooling to guard a cpu from overheating” and continual overclocking will damage the cpu!

To overclock Acer Predator Helios 300’s cpu and to enable or disable Turbo Boost in Intel Core i7-xxxHQ type cpu’s:

    • Select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform From the System Utility screen
    • Go to Configuration (RBSU) > Performance Options > Intel (R) Turbo Boost Technology and press Enter.

    ·        Select a setting and press Enter.

                   1. Enabled: To Enable HyperThreading technology.

                    2. Disabled – To reduce power usage and get stable performance.

    • Finally, Press F10
    • To monitor your CPU you can download and install CPU-z and ThrottleStop
    • Lastly, the Turbo boost is an automatic function provided in Intel processors.
Good luck BUT BE CAREFUL I don't guarantee that any damage won't happen as laptops are very limited to their cooling (unless you do crazy mods) of cpu/gpu’s and that is the dangers of destroying cpu/gpu’s.

JesseHanda just to add to the above you need to optimise your windows properly and undervolt check here and if still needed repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can without voiding the warranty

    https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11532543

    UserBenchmarks: Game 43%, Desk 61%, Work 40%
    CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ - 63.5%
    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti (Mobile) - 41.9%
    SSD: WDC WDS200T2B0B-00YS70 2TB - 71.4%
    HDD: WD WD10SPZX-00HKTT0 1TB - 93.7%
    RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C15 2x16GB - 76.8%

I'm not an Acer employee. (just here to help in the best way i can)
If my answer fixed you issue please accept it for any other users who search for it would find it quickly thanks :)
