I purchased an Aspire A515-54 back on 5-22-2020 from New Egg and wanted to purchase a 2 yr extended warranty from the Acer e Commerce site. The order went through and then was immediately canceled. When I inquired why I was told there was a problem with the credit card transaction and was told to try another card. I did and had the same result with the order being immediately canceled. Again I inquired both by email & phone and was told they do not have access to the systems that process the credit card transactions. That was there response, they just could not help me. No referral to some other group just tough luck. I tried several other Acer support sites and got the same answer, sorry can’t help you. Anyone have a contact number/email for Acer USA that I might try?

You must immediately call the 800 number on the back of your credit card to explain what happened so they can look into why the transaction was voided. Jack E/NJ

Thanks for the folks that responded to my question. Actually it was Acer that voided the transaction not the credit card company. Turns out that they ask the credit card company for email account information and somehow this is part of the problem. When I processed the transaction at the Acer Sales site they would not accept my Acer USA log in information so I created a second account under a different email address. Turns out I was was able to purchase the extended warranty as a guest using a different browser with no associated cookies but after the purchase I had to set up a third account under yet a third email address. Ironically while all this was going on I received a promo email from Acer where they had a code for 20% off extended warranties. So I ended up saving over 19.00. I hope I never have to use the warranty but if I do I hope the service is better than this.

Yes this was the site I was using. I both called and emailed the e commerce and believe it or not they just told me they could not help me. I was able to resolve the issue on my own. (see my other comment above, thanks)
