Hi all, I just thought I'd share with you my experience upgrading this laptop.
The parts I used were:
(2) Samsung 32GB DDR4 2666MHz
xpg s11 pro 2tb nvme m.2 drive
pioneer 2tb nvme m.2 drive
western digital blue 4tb sata ssd
Opening the laptop up was a breeze. the back came off easily but i had to use a plastic spudger to get the front to come off. I unplugged the battery and proceeded to replace the parts. Everything went smoothly. the xpg ssd comes with a heat shield so I did not use the silver one that came with the laptop. Put everything back together and installed windows and everything was detected. The 64gb of ram is running at 2666mhz without having to change any settings.
Now onto the questions:
The first question is: I ran crystal disk mark and info and i am getting the following speeds:
xpg s11 pro: reads : 1900MB/s , writes: 2500 MB/s
pioneer: reads: 2200MB/s, writes 2800 MB/s
WD blue reads : 545MB/s writes 530 MB/s
I find it weird that my write speeds are faster than my reads. Is there something I'm overlooking? A driver perhaps?
The second question is as I ran crystaldiskmark on the xpg s11 pro the temps got up to 62 degrees C and the pioneer stayed in the 50s. When should I start worrying about temps?
Feel free to ask me any questions about this upgrade!

phatfreeza you should have great temps cpu/gpu wise it should come pre undervolted as usual but if u feel like you can go even further on undervolting it with TS you can also if you want to repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can open it without voiding your warranty (as it seems you can as you already upgraded everything that was possible to)
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11532543
UserBenchmarks: Game 43%, Desk 61%, Work 40%
CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ - 63.5%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050-Ti (Mobile) - 41.9%
SSD: WDC WDS200T2B0B-00YS70 2TB - 71.4%
HDD: WD WD10SPZX-00HKTT0 1TB - 93.7%
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C15 2x16GB - 76.8%
MBD: Acer Predator G3-572
I'm not an Acer employee. (just here to help in the best way i can)
If my answer fixed you issue please accept it for any other users who search for it would find it quickly thanks

RRV808 said:Hi, I just purchased same PH 315-52-78VL. I installed a new Samsung 860 EVO Sata SSD with no problems. I'm looking to replace my Factory Installed(OS M.2) NVME and populating my 2nd NVME Drive. What exact steps did you do to install your two nvme drives? Did you clone or did you do a fresh installation of windows? Did you have to change boot sequences? Did you install your 2nd NVME with no problems?

Thank you!!
I did a fresh installation of windows. The only software that I downloaded ahead of time was predator sense(I would download all the drivers just in case anyway). In order to do a fresh install and boot from USB, I disabled secure boot in bios. You may or may not need to do this. I did not have any problems with the nvme install. I even left off the metal shield on one of the nvmes because mine came with its own heatshield. No temperature problems or throttling yet. Let me know if that was unclear or if you needed more help.1 -
Thanks for your help!!0

belik youre right i didnt even noticed that lol i wonder if the older ones would also support but yeah theres no advantage at all in having 64gb 32 its more than enough and in some cases too much for those who dont use it as i always say all the time the manufacturer specs it was what was tested with doenst mean it wont support more same with mobiles for ex my old faithful defy mb525 its advertised to suport 32gb sd card max and i have 64gb and even the 128 also works lol a bit slower as the phone ist a 1ghz cpu (overclocked to 1.3) but works
