    Ok so i did the factory rest, a point in time came when the screen went black after the computer restarted itself during rest, i decided to wait, after about 2 hours Cortana Showed up (which means the reset worked) but then it froze there, so i didnt get to go through the set up procedure, here i am again in safe mode, What to Do............ What to do ..................  I guess the bios update thing or i try to fix the following problems firstI tried using driver booster to update them, it says the network adapter is the only thing that needs updating, looking at the above image, it is clearly wrong, there is a lot more, i don't want to mess with BIOS stuff , now some of you might be wondering "why don't you send it for repairs" , I am currently planning that, since there is no Acer support shop or something in my country, the laptop was ordered on Amazon and sent to me, so I will have to send it to a relative in America then repairs can begin. So for next 2 hours i will try and update these faulty drivers so if you have any suggestions ( which I need cause I am freaking out in a calm manner :confused: ) please let them be know

    Ok So for some reason the laptop is working, I don't know if drivers update fixed it, but the pc is up and running and am going to block windows update, just in case.

    All those exclamation marks were because you are in safe mode. If this problem apears again, try to connect to an external tv or monitor, like im doing right now I still have the same problem, for a short time it was working fine but it starts to fail again.

    Hi guys i've recently bought(LITERALLY JUST GOT IT YESTERDAY AUGUST 23, 2019) my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 i5 8300H with GTX1050ti 4 GB RAM
    It's a bit of a noob move for the admin to close the discussion from this from nitro 5 to a helios 300  https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/545813/urgent-acer-nitro-5-serious-lag-problem-please-help-me
    But aside from that the it already has and updated windows and bios. i have enabled the nitrosense, tried file page size allocation, increased number of processors and memory in msconfig, the battery optimization, the nvidia graphics optimization and no i did not install anything yet it is really just slow on even browsing on microsoft edge, mozilla or any toher browser or from switching applications, reading my files(mp4, docx, etc.) that i have to skip all my work for today and hopefully not the next days, by some luck atleast my boss showed some sympathy.

    it's even taking minutes just to open task manager or a file exporer or services.msc i think y'all know how slow i am talking about right now.

    AlphaXexia are you sure your nitro 5 came with an ssd because i know in fact some variants only come with the 1tb hdd with the OS installed on it i repasted one this week same cpu as yours but a 1050 4gb non ti with 8gb dual channel (2x4gb) and the 1tb hdd its really slow booting and normal tasking which its normal its only an hdd anyway im just asking for you to make sure you have it and that the OS its installed on it :)  (usually 128gb ssd drive) also im guessing you have 8gb ram (dual or not) probably which its not enough these days for anything i suggest you to upgrade to 16gb dual channel minimum you can also perform a acer stock recovery clean install (ALT+F10 on boot) and select the option delete everything as you stated you havent installed anything on it yet so nothing important to loose

    I have also have a predator helios 300 model ph315-52. I was downloading a game and just had it sitting there. Than the screen went black but the back light was on. After pressing the power button and restarted the pc the screen doest come on. It works when plugged in on my tv but nothing on the laptop monitor. Iv seen that you have a fix for the PH315-51 & PH317-52. Is there anything for my model?

    Also there is not pin hole on this model. And I am 100% sure this is a fact. It shows nothing about a battery reset in the manual. Also have tried holding the power button for 20-30 seconds with the power cable unplugged.

    And when its plugged in via hdmi. It doesnt even recognize my laptops monitor in display settings.

    5Read and tried all the above . my keypad lights up on start up but can noty see the screen or hear the internial fans , what else can i do

    So i got helios predator 300 from a customer ,and it is a blank screen problem ,laptop is old two months .The problem is not resolved fully right now by acer .SO I COME UP WITH A SOLUTION ,IT IS A PERNAMENT FIX ,AT LEAST YOU CAN USE YOUR LAPTOP ALWAYS FULLY AND RELIABLE ,YES YOU LOSE A PART OF LAPTOP ,BUT EVERYTHING IS WORKING AND YOU CAN USE YOUR EXPENSIVE LAPTOP .I posted fix video on my youtube chanel .

    Your method is not working for PH315-51-51V7. 
    For me, the issue happened recently and while I was watching the video the laptop screen slowly turned black and after that no change. I tried restarting the laptop but no use. Then I tried connecting with an external monitor and through HDMI I was able to use the laptop. 
    Then on the next day because of my foolishness, I thought the issue can be due to the Graphics card driver. So by using an external monitor I disabled the NVIDIA graphics card and all sudden the external monitor also turned black and it started showing No signal. If anyone has any solution kindly please let me know. The laptop is one and a half years old so the warranty period is also over. Totally messed up and feeling bad.

    I have been facing this problem for 1 year. I have a helios 300 g3-572. I've had it for a few weeks with no black screen after a clean boot, but the problem seems to have returned. All drivers provided by Acer are obsolete and it doesn't seem to be keeping up with Windows updates. Acer doesn't give a ***** about its customers.


    The bios is at version 1.22 since 04/2019 and they never updated again. It's sad. I'm trying @Petar1234 solution. If anyone has any other suggestions besides battery pin and driver update, it would be most welcome.

    @sri369 Yep. Some were obtained through the WU. Others I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. The stability of the system has been a gamble. @Petar1234 's solution didn't work.

    What saddens me is that Acer doesn't offer decent support for its own proprietary hardware. It offers outdated faulty drivers, causing users to spend lots of money sending their equipment in for service or buying new ones.


    update: Apparently Driver Booster found updates that are keeping the system stable, including chipset. It still didn't hang up unexpectedly.
