Your model was tested with up to 256GB SATA m.2. It may accept higher but not guaranteed. Jack E/NJ
If you boot from the m.2 SSD as the letter C drive, then press WIN+R. Enter 'diskmgmt.msc'. Then assign letter D to the old HDD. Jack E/NJ
I brought Acer aspire 3 A315-53G-5968. I want to add m.2 SSD to it. Which type of m2 SSD can I add and how it looks like ? An image of it will help a lot ! And also what is the maximum size ? I am trying to buy a 250 GB SSD. Is it ok ?
ZenitramPROCheck your mainboard's m.2 socket before you plunk extra money down on a 970 nvme. Some models are equipped with 2 socket keys. If it also has a B key the 970 won't fit since it only has one card slot to fit the M key. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/726635/#Comment_726635 Jack E/NJ
