      Any Updates here?

      I still have the same problem with a lot of SSD's (2.5" and M.2).
      Nothing works.
      Every SSD (2.5 or M.2) i plug in stucks at the Acer logo and no Bios entry is possible, even if i delete (fill with zero) the drives.

      No update, Sorry... My mx500 is already updated with last firmware. This laptop doesn't accept ssd ...

      OK so we have the same problem.
      Dont do the same fault like i did and buy 10 different SSDs, i have it all here and wasted so much money, i could also buy a high quality laptop :)
      Next time i'll do that from the begin ;)

      What is the uefi version? Have you tried selecting ahci mode in sata mode?

      Last version for uefi, with ahci... It's a fact: Swift 3 hate ssd... 
      acer's sells a product with incorrect specifications.  they sold me a laptop with sata3 drives.  This is not the case.

      The service guide for this model shows that this model accepts a 512gb ssd nvme:

      I have a 118GB ssd Drive on the laptop, M2 sata3, not nvme.  1TB HDD is SATA 3 standard and this standard does not restrict the size of drives.  So if there is a restriction, they are not respecting the norm.  they should not indicate it in the product sheets ... (And Sorry for Google traduction un english :p)

      OK, so that means that the Samsung 970 1TB should work.
      I will give it this one LAST try, i wasted now almost 1000 EUR with harddiscs (my fault i was always too late to send them back).

      However, I am almost 100% sure that this model does not accept a ssd m2 2280 sata 3 or nvme from 1tb!

      I want to change 1TB HDD SATA 3 Drive for 1TB ssd, not M2 Drive. If it is indicated SATA 3, i Can buy  sata3 drive and make change... There is not SATA 3 norm with 512GB max, 1TB max etc etc ...

      The 2.5 "sata 3 of 1tb ssd should work correctly! Have you tried upgrading the uefi firmware?
