My Acer Iconia tablet A501 is not booting up it was working perfectly fine one day and the next day in the morning when turned on, the android robot tried booting but failed and lay belly up with red exclamation mark on it.
from then on, i cannot start the tablet. each time i turn the power on, it stays on the acer logo for ages and nothing happening.
Could any one of you please help me solve this issue?
Thank you in advance

    Try Hard reset:
    • Power off the tablet
    • Hold Volume up + Power on the tablet
    • Then switch Lock On/Off (Green) back and forth while holding Volume up
    • Wait about 20 seconds for Android to start

You can get those symptoms, especially on an older model like your, if the flash storage has failed. Typically part of the failure mode is for the existing data to become corrupted, and resets don't fix it because the new image is also corrupted. :(
