My Acer aspire 5750G laptop was working properly. Suddenly it came up with a speaker issue. My speaker is making heavy crackling sound while playing audio and video. I don’t know whether it is a hardware or software issue. But it was working properly before. Someone please help me to resolve this issue.

Right click speaker icon in tray. Click 'playback devices'. Select default playback speakers. Click 'properties' button. Click 'advanced' tab. Change speaker quality to CD. Jack E/NJ

I’ve changed the speaker quality to CD. Still having the same issue with the sound.

If the crackling noise is absent in headphones or earbuds, then the speaker connectors probably needed to be re-seated a few times on the mainboard to clean their contacts. Jack E/NJ

    Hello,
I have a brand new predator Helios 300 and it just started doing this crackle during usage. I've read up a bit and tried multiple solutions, but nothing has worked thus far. Is there a fix for this???

If it's not a hardware problem, you can try the earlier suggestion. https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/684233/#Comment_684233

If that doesn't work, try an ALT+F10 erase-everything factory reset. If still no joy, return it to the vendor/seller ASAP for a refund or exchange before the vendor's RMA period expires. Jack E/NJ
