Little to no control of fan speed (Helios 300)

I have made a recording of my Acer Laptop. This is mostly just to show, how bad the Predator Sense works, even after the latest patch. I whis they could just let you force a fan speed, and then if it is to low, the cpu should throttle. I hate my fans going at 5000rpms from just scrolling the web or watching a youtube vid.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBHg32bZhWU&t

Its a long vid at 4m 30sec, but it shows my issue.

What i have done my self, is change the thermal compund to Thermal Grizzly, and lowered the voltage on the cpu. Before i did this, it would almost be at max fan speed even when idle. This has reduced the temps a bit, but they are still high (when gaming the cpu goes from 85-98. Gpu peaks at 93 degrees celcius.)

The GPU temperature is too high even at idle. The max temperature it is allowed to reach is 97C, but it begins to heavy thorttle after passing 83C. I think you haven't applied the paste properly. Do you remeber what was the GPU temperature during gaming before repasting?
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

@Rubberpaw you already posted your issues here it state's the same and look at my answer to your issues and the fans were made to go higher to cooldown the cpu/gpu i really dont see your issue here your temps are already really bad you have made a mess with TS and a poor repaste and you still want the fans to run slower if i were you i would just take them out and run it without fans until it burns out the mobo or anything else i know i am being sarcastic but your statements to me make no sense at all you want to make omelettes without eggs if your temps weren't so bad the fans wouldn't run at that speed as i used to say if you dunno what you are doing do not touch/mess with it

Ehm, i dont think you are getting my point at all? First, can you explain why normal mode is more silent than silent mode in PredatorSense? I have been working with computers, hardware and software for about 16 years now. I dont know how you came to the conclusion that i have “made a mess with TS” without knowing what my settings are. I have repasted about 2000 laptops, desktops gpus and cpus, so i think i know what i am doing.. at this time, i have liquid metal on, and it helped a lot. But that is not my issue here. My issue is, that Predator Sense makes you choose different options, but they dont work at all. It makes me think that you didnt see the video at all. What i want my laptop to be able to, is to not increase the fan speed to 75% or more, when the cpu cores are at 50degreed celcius, and outputs about 5-10 watts (out of long term 45watts.) if you keep changing the mode in predatorsense from coolboost and normal, you can kinda force the fans to stay at roughly 2000rpms, and when doing that, while using the web, the tembs never go above 60 degrees, so i dont see the reAson for the fan curve Acer have forced in this laptop.

As this machine is sold as a “gamimg laptop, with amazing metal fans and such, i dont think it is to much to demand that the fans should be able to at least handle 45watts of power on the cpu and whatever the gpu puts out. With my current voltage settings, i have 3.9ghz at all cores, with 44 watts, 1 watt below the TDP of this cpu (the constant wattage this cpu can run unlimited.) and it disapoints me, that the cooling cant keep up, but that is another issue.

this thread is about PredatorSense, so spend the few minuttes on the video, and then come back to me.

Well seems to me you know what your are talking about and i dont have a clue of anything at all so you would be better contacting acer support and figure it out with them or tell them to fix/personalize the values you want in the locked bios for you the way you want it running (which i doubt they will ever do it) mine is working 1000% fine and always worked like a charm after upgrading ssd/ram/repaste/undervolt/overclock

And yes i watched the video and i dont use that version of PS i dont have those options you have mine its the first one and always worked fine 2.01.3005 dunno why ppl keep trying new versions that might not work properly (even if they are in the support page most of the times the older ones work much better) that version you are using was firstly made for the white limited edition only when it came out i never tried it and never will it might work fine but whats the point is its not broken dont try to fix it even if the models are similar the bios might not have the same values in the hidden advanced tab options but again there is no point on arguing anything anymore because you said and i quote:

So if you know what you are doing you dont need any help at all because you already know everything

PS: you're not the only one who worked all life with pc hardware/software i have also been on this since 1999/2000 and my fans are always on auto/coolboost on and they work at 2300rpm/2500rpm cpu-47 gpu-40 25% cpu usage this is my idle all the time always on (AC) for more than one year 24/7 non stop and the fans behave normally when browsing or multiple tasks at the same time they only kick in when either gaming or encoding
