I can connect but it's quite difficult at times. I mean, I just can't get it inside at once. The charging pin is not like the ones i have used before.egydiocoelho disse:If I understood correctly, you can not connect the power adapter here, correct?
Can you tell the model of your adapter and whether it is the 135w or 180w?
This is what I'm used to...egydiocoelho disse:If I understood correctly, you can not connect the power adapter here, correct?

Hi, have you got an answer for this issue? I'm having the same problem for mine... Can't figure out why i can plug in directly.Comrade_Brad said:So I'm having quite a hard time adapting with the Nitro 5 charger. The charger pin is absolutely different from the pins used on other laptop models. As a result, I often struggle pushing in the pin into the charging hole. Please tell me the right orientation to do so. A PHOTO would be very helpful.

I saw a guy push the pin straight into the hole without making any angle in an unboxing and setup video on YouTube. Since you can rotate the pin 360 degrees after plugging in, regardless of the angle at which you insert the pin, there shouldn't be any serious issue. Just push it a little hard but not too hard. If it is not going at a certain angle, try rotating it slightly and it will eventually go in.Neef said:Hi, have you got an answer for this issue? I'm having the same problem for mine... I have to plug it always at an angle which i'm not comfortable doing because it might damage the ports.
Make sure you get the thermal paste redone on your Nitro 5. Acer has used a pretty generic one and your CPU will easily reach the upper 90s in 'High Performance' mode. You can disable the overclocking by selecting 'Balanced Mode' from 'Power Options' but that way, your GPU will still be under serious stress in games and throttling will kick in even before you know it.Neef said:Hi, have you got an answer for this issue?
