Chromebook 14 CB3-431 - Brand new, won't turn on

Followed the instructions that accompanied the product. Plugged into mains, allowed it a few minutes before trying to power up but nothing has happened. No lights have come on anywhere and zero screen activity at all.
Am I doing part of the start up wrong or am I looking at a battery/ Hardware issue.
Product is fresh from the box and has been well handled in my care.
Any help appreciated!

Try connecting to another charger and charge it for 30 minutes and turn on. Still if you dont see anything than you can one more step which is Hard reset.Hard reset your Chromebook
For most Chromebooks, follow the steps below:
1. Turn off your Chromebook.
2. Press Refresh + Power button(Refresh is the button which you find in the first row fourth key, Which look like a circle with arrow)
So try to charge after doing hard reset and check. Even after doing the Hard reset if the unit does not turn on than it must be a hardware issue. I would suggest you to contact Acer support
