Storage options for GX-792

My laptop came with an 256GB NVMe SSD, and a 7200RPM 1TB HDD. I want more storage for games and media, but I don't think the performance of a 2TB 5400 RPM drive from Seagate would be much better than plugging in an external USB 3.0 HDD. What are those other M.2 ports underneath for? The NVMe SSD that it came with won't fit in there...

    You have 3 M.2 ports in total. 1 NVMe and 2 with sata interface. The first port is the one that has the SSD in it and it is NVMe. The second port is behind it and the 3rd is next to the HDD bay. The second port needs a different SSD 22110 instead of the 2280 or you can use 2280 with a bracket.

    The NVMe won't find in there, because it probably has M-key and the other 2 ports a B-key. For these M.2 ports you need B-key M.2 SSD or M+B key, which is universal for both ports.
    Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

    Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
