Does my Acer (A715-71G-57AY) supports PCIe NVMe M2 cards?

I am really confused now, I am not risking to buy any m2 nvme ssd that would not be compatible with my device. It will be so upsetting to see that it will not work as it is so expensive and very hard to acquire. Please help me if it would support my laptop. I am pretty sure that it has an m2 ssd port but some reviews says that it only supports SATA3 speeds. Well, In that case, if it's conformed, I should stick on buying the fairly decent m2 sata3 ssd, but as what I am saying, If it supports the ultra fast NVMe, then why would I limit myself? I would go with the latter.
According to HWinfo, I only have the PCI express x1 on the root ports. They say you could only use nvme on x2-x4 PCIe. I really don't have an idea about these ssds. My Internal HDD is on it's dying stage so I really want a replacement as soon as possible. I'll attach screenshots for your reference. Thanks and Godspeed!

This is the image of the port if you remove the back case of the model. There is surely an m2 ssd port but the big question is, will it only support SATA3 or it could embrace the PCIe NVMe cards?

This is the HWinfo screenshot.

Hi,
Yes, the slot is compatible with both keys( M key and M+B Key), that means you can either use a SATA M.2 SSD or a NVMe M.2 SSD.
Your BIOS will recognise the NVMe SSD as I have installed a NVMe SSD in A515-51 without any problem, install the SSD, download Minitool partition wizard free program, run it as admin, use migrate feature( at the top), after the completion of migration, remove the HDD and try to boot with only the SSD, after confirming everything is fine, you may delete the OS from the HDD and use it for storage.

Hi,
Yes, you can go to BIOS settings and make the SSD as your first boot.
1.Press F2 as soon as you press the Power button.
2.Move to Boot tab using Right Arrow button.
3.Move to the SSD( using move Up/Down button) and click F6 button to move up to the first position ( or second the position if there's Windows boot Manager present )

Thank you @brummyfan2, just one last question. Based on my specs provided, Now after I bought a NVMe SSD, does my bios allow it to be used as my boot device or will it only be used as a secondary storage? Can I still use my pre-installed 2.5" Internal HDD along with it? Can you give tips please on how these NVMe ssds will help to improve my laptop performance? Thank you!
And what can you say about this photo? It seems intriguing. The above picture looked like it has two slots meaning it's a SATA m2 ssd? Can I actually fit a single slot nvme on my laptop? Please advise.

@brummyfan2 just a quick query, why is that if there is a windows boot manager, I'll set the ssd to 2nd priority. Moreover, what will happen if I make the ssd first and the WBM as 2nd priority. Thanks.
I already bought a 250gb samsung 970 evo m.2 nvme ssd a while ago. Will use the samsung migration tool for the cloning. Please confirm that the one I bought is compatible with my device. Thanks.0 -

There won't be any noticeable difference whether WBM is first or second boot option, yes Samsung 970 Evo is compatible with your laptop.

I have a Acer v3-575t-71u5 and would like to do the same as you described above, add a NVMe SSD and use my current 1tb hard drive as extra storage. Can you confirm if my laptop is compatible with the NVMe or M+B keys?0

And Thank you for your help., I think you can only install a M.2 SATA SSD.

In case anyone is wondering, this laptop also works with the Samsung 970 PRO 1TB (I just installed this in mine). I think the "SSD up to 512gb supported" I see floating around here just means that what Acer tested it with... To be honest I think it's compatible with any single sided 2280 m.2 SSD, no matter the capacity...0
