You are welcome, maximum link width value used in E series laptops only, HWiNFO gives the value after installing the SSD in newer laptops, so it's difficult to tell whether 4 lanes are enabled in BIOS for this model but the motherboard is capable of 4 Lanes according to specs. Please read this thread for more information.

    Hi,
It depends on where you live, so it's better to get in touch with Acer Support centre in your region and inquire, there are warranty warning stickers in the back in certain countries but not in other regions.

    Hi,
Can anyone please confirm whether the M.2 Slot on the Acer Nitro AN515-51 works on a PCIe or a SATA III interface!
Or can any of the SSD (as in both PCIe and SATA) will work. I am thinking of purchasing the WD Green M.2 240GB SSD which uses a SATA III(3) interface, and no one at Acer customer service could actually tell me about this.
Would be grateful for your help.

    Regards

    Hi,
It might work but I have not used the WD drives, so can not confirm as I haven't seen anyone with the particular drive in this model as well. Please read this thread for more information:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/544470/i-want-to-install-m2-ssd-on-nitro-5-an515-51

Hi, but my question is whether it supports the SATA 3 interface? If it does, then I don't think there should be a problem, right? Because even the EVO 860 is based on the SATA interface.

Because even the EVO 860 is based on the SATA 3 interface, as you had mentioned it will work on the suggested thread. If the motherboard supports one Manufacturer's SATA SSD, it should support all. Am i wrong anywhere?

    Hi,
Yes, in theory it's right but sometimes for unknown reasons certain SSDs may fail to boot, that's why I have said " it might work" and also I haven't seen anyone else used this particular SSD in your laptop model.

    Hi,

This is to confirm. I have installed the M.2 WD Green 240 Gb SSD, and I am able to see the same in the Windows Explorer as a NTFS Volume.

    Hi,
It seems that a NVMe SSD doesn't work in this model, others also tried as well but it wouldn't work, please read this thread:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/548330/please-clarify-does-the-an515-42-r5gt-support-both-sata-and-nvme-in-the-m-2-slot
