Spec a10-9620p , rx540 2gb gddr5 8gb ram (acer aspire 5 a515-41g-t53g)
All games run weak.. In Gta V on lowest settings i get only 25-40fps . I'ts same in fortnite, unplayable 20-70. I check with msi afterburner , and clock speeds in graph and processor its ok.
You can look on yt - a10-9600p with worse -40% r8 m445dx looks much better. Or a12-9720p (it's almost the same what a10-9620p) and radeon 530- its too better than my.

Make sure your power plan in control panel settings is in high performance mode with advanced CPU/GPU settings to max. Jack E/NJ

What does this mean? If it's game lingo, better explain it cuz I have no idea what it means. Jack E/NJ

It's not so much benchmark with a10-9620p but with a10-9600p i find some. Look at this video:
    https://youtu.be/XBtKSfsu-m8

Guy have a10-9600p and r7 m440  and this work better than my laptop about 5-10fps more . This r7 m440 is much worse than rx540.
    Or this
    https://youtu.be/MKiXug0WnGw
A little bit better a12-9720p and worse radeon 530 runs in 50fps when driving . I get only 30

Does it have an SSD or a hybrid HDD? Jack E/NJ

    HDD

OK. The HDD is partly to blame. Another is only 8GB RAM. If it were my machine, I would first try increasing to 16GB. Go to crucial dot com for DDR4 RAM specifications needed 2.4GHz or higher. Jack E/NJ

Enough free space is needed for other system processes as they arise. The more free space the system has available to use from instant to instant, the better. Jack E/NJ

Ok. Finnaly i think is cpu bottlenck  gpu.. in 3dmark Time spy i get on graphic 1040 score.

up∆ it's have only 320 score and work better on a10-9600? What ? Maybe its cpu version more tdp..
    940mx ddr3 get 500points. 940mx 3ddr i5 7200u 70fps low xDDDD
Why acer put this rx540 to a10-9620p?:(

1GB free RAM space is not much under high gaming load. Does HDD usage seem high while gaming? Jack E/NJ

Nope, hdd usage its not high. Heh i know this problem , all time when new windows update -hdd usage 100% heh.
Hmm maybe i buy this ram dual channel always better. But now not have money :astonished:

Before buying more RAM you can use an empty flash drive or sd card you can spare and use ReadyBoost. That might do the trick.

If you are still having problems I heard from computer experts much smarter than me that often the biggest bottleneck is the HDD.

I have a different Acer but also had performance issues. First I did the ReadyBoost which helped but not enough. My system has an M.2 slot and installed an SSD M.2 drive which now runs Windows and my programs. If you don't have an M.2 slot you can get a standard 2.5 inch SSD.

Go to crucial dot com and use their scanner to see how your mainboard is configured. The specs for the standard a515-41g model should have two DDR4 module slots. It's possible one of the slots is for a solderable module but this would be very unusual.  Jack E/NJ

    >>>2 channel module>>>

This means the scanner detected one memory module that can be used in two-channel (dual-channel) mode.  But did it also detect two memory slots? Jack E/NJ

If you cannot see or access the unused slot near the used slot under the RAM door, then unfortunately it is probably on the opposite (top) side of the mainboard in your machine. Jack E/NJ
