    My ram speed is so slow. Changing this one memory can improve performance?

    Might make a huge difference but no 100% guarantee. I might be tempted to try  replaceing the 8GB with a 16GB DDR4 module just to see if it makes a huge difference as long as I could return it to the vendor if it doesn't. Just to avoid adding another 8GB module to the top slot.  Jack E/NJ
