Hi,
I need help regarding my laptop. A lot of people probably have the same problem as I do, but here's what happened:
I am using Acer Aspire E-15 (E5-573-33SE). For some reason, my computer went on blue screen three times. Then after that, it just keeps going to the automatic system restore. I tried the advance options and here's what I got:
System restore:  "To use system restore, you must specify which Windows installation to restore. Restart this computer, select an operating system, and then use system restore."
-The thing is, I cannot restart my computer.
System Image Recovery: "An internal error occurred. The following information might help you resolve the error" STATUS_WAIT_2 (0x80070002)
Startup Repair: Couldn't repair the PC
Go back to the previous version: ran into a problem and won't be able to take you back to the previous version of Windows.

My only options are command prompt and UEFI Firmware Settings. I tried reinstalling Windows 10 to my laptop using a USB and setting the USB as the number 1 boot priority order. However, after the startup, it went on black screen. So, i restored it back to its default order. I haven't used my laptop for a month now and I have no clue how to fix it. I really need my laptop since I am studying at a post-secondary school.

" I tried reinstalling Windows 10 to my laptop using a USB " What did you put on the USB drive and how did you install it ? Normally you do not change the boot order, rather enable a F12 boot selection. The past blue screens you mention sounds like the hard drive has a problem.

I followed the steps in this website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10. I knew that changing the boot order is a risky thing to do. I asked questions in the Microsoft community and they said this is the way but it didn't worked. So, I am just thinking there might be another way to bring back my computer to normal.

By the way, thank you for the response.

Normally you just go into the BIOS setup and enable "F12 boot selection". Then when I boot the PC I tap F12 until that Acer splash screen appears and select the boot device.

@padgett I tried doing that and it just sent me to an automatic repair again, which was the same outcome as the very first thing I mentioned.

Which does ? Entering the BIOS setup or selecting the USB at boot ?

It just takes me back to troubleshoot settings and can't do any repair, image restore, or reverting back to old version of windows. The only thing that I can use is the UEFI/BIOS setting and Command Prompt. I select the USB at boot before but it just freezes at a black screen after the loading on startup.

Basically, every time I turn it on with its default boot order, it just says preparing automatic repair. When I select the USB as the main boot, it loads but it just freezes at a black screen right after.

At this point I think you need a professional. I'd probably try something like booting a live copy of Manjaro Linux from USB just to run some checkouts but is not for a novice.

From Command Prompt, you can backup any of your important personal files.

    https://appuals.com/how-to-backup-files-from-command-prompt/

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Command Prompt, you can completely wipe your HDD.

    diskpart
    list disk
select disk x   (x=your HDD number that your want to wipe)
    clean
    exit
    exit

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To clean install vanilla Windows 10  (after you wiped your HDD with "diskpart clean")

    Turn off your computer
    Insert your Windows 10 USB
    Turn on your computer
    Select your language
    Select Install
    Select Custom Install
Click on the drive where you want to install Windows (it should say "unallocated space")
    Click Next

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: At some point before you install Windows, you need to go in to your BIOS settings and load the BIOS default settings (F9) and then save/exit (F10).

Note2: Your computer model has received a lot of BIOS updates.  My advice is to update BIOS to the latest after you get Windows installed and it is stable.

After the clean install you may need to go to the Acer support page and download the drivers for your E5. These are from 2015 but may still work for anything not working properly.
