    For myself I used the yellow 19 pin connector on MB and connect a usb wired that has 2 usb female at the end. After that I bought on ebay a USB to Sata connector ( not USB to eSata). Connect my old laptop Hdd with proper wired ( data and power) and voila second hard drive install. Had to disable CDRom with windows 10 to have the proper letter on my new second Hdd and reable the CDrom.

    There is one thing called M.2 NGFF to SATA III converter (cost only $2 on aliexpress.com).  I use it to connect DVD, which i do not use a lot.  Then use motherboard on-board sata to connect two hard drives.   That is a easy fix, hope can help you.
