Aspire R 14 - Vertical lines on screen

Below is a picture of the vertical lines that cover the entire screen of the laptop. I do not think it is caused by physical damage to the screen, and I haven't been able to find anyone who has similar lines on their screen.

Occasionally when I am using the laptop the lines will just appear on the screen, and the only way I have been able to fix it is to turn off my laptop.

I've had this laptop since January of 2016.

Hey,

Recently had the same issue too, with the same model. My computer has never had physical/ water damage but I have no indication as to what the problem is.

Hi,
Could some one please help me to solve this problem. Firstly I noticed single line on the screen then later on It had increased to 5 to 6 vertical lines. As I went through the discussion I noticed that it was either software or hardware problem... So this is how it looks as in image...

Hi,
Go to Acer support site, download the VGA driver for your laptop, then go to Device manager, expand Display adapters, highlight and right click your graphics card, click Properties, go to Driver tab and uninstall the driver in Driver tab, install the downloaded driver and see whether it fixes the problem.

If you found the lines in BIOS, then it's seems to be a hardware issue. If there is warranty, please contact in warranty support team or check with any local technicians.

@johnc0404 you should start a new thread with your question, this one is almost 3 years old. Include your full model number, that picture and whether it happens when not viewing the camera.
