Aspire E5-574T-51BV Windows 10 1607 causing many problems
Hi All,
I have just purchased an Aspire E5-574T-51BV and am having multiple problems after an automatic (unrequested) update to Win 10 Build 1607.
USB3 and USB2 ports not working after sleep mode, Management Service Module not functioning correctly, Touchscreen working intermittently, Touchpad the same.
Now I download and install updates manually one by one, have disabled automatic updates, cleaned the registry multiple times, used 3rd party win 10 cleaner - all to no avail.
Now I find that this model does not support Win 10 Build 1607 (Anniversary) as stated on Acer Support.
Please tell me my options to be able to use this Laptop, without a constant battle to make it function correctly.
Thank you in advance

Ok, thanks for info. I think you should call Acer support and let them know......and ask them how to proceed. I'm out of ideas. Sorry.

1. Don't disable automatic updates
2. Don't try to clean your registry.
3. Don't use third party registry cleaners
4. Go back to your previous build
Settings>Updates and Security>Recovery
5. Update the BIOS

6. Create a USB factory default recovery drive......and then put it in a safe place.

7. Let Windows Update automatically update your computer again.

Thank you JordanB,
I have applied all of your recommendations - However, the principle problem has not been resolved, ie: USB ports (2xUSB3 and 1xUSB2) still do not activate after sleep.
Rightly or otherwise, I have unchecked the "Allow USB to turn off to save power" button in Device Manager (USB Controllers - Intel USB3 Host Controller and USB Root Hub) then rebooted, but this has not solved the problem.
If this is a "Windows 10 Home" problem, and not related to the Hardware then I can only apologise for wasting your time, and will seek a solution elsewhere.
Can you please verify that this PC cannot run with "Win 10 Anniversary" I ask this because updates to automatically install tonight (27/03/17) include set up for Anniversary.
Thank you again - congratulations on your 1000 Kudos - Well deserved no doubt

1. What BIOS version do you have installed?
Right click on the Windows Start button
Left click on Run
Type msinfo32
Click ok
2. What USB device are you trying to use? Are you 100% sure the problem is with the computer or is it possibly the USB device?
Can you try a different USB device?
3. I'm not completely sure if your computer is compatible with Anniversary.
4. Can you try resetting your computer to factory condition?
5. I don't have 1000 kudos

I can use all USB devices when I start from Shutdown or Restart, but not if the E5-574T is put into sleep mode manually or if it goes to sleep automatically after designated time.
Have reset the E5-574T to Factory Condition, multiple time since ownership (one week).
Hairloss imminent......
You should have 1000 Kudos, at least I think so.
