    You have 3 choices.

    (1) Try installing KB3200970 in Safe Mode without networking.

    (2) Check for a restore point that *immediately* precedes the first time that KB3200070 failed to install. If it exists, you could try restoring it to that point and try re-installing the failed update. Unless backed up first, you'd of course lose all the stuff/data you put on the system since then.

    (3) The MS answer site on this particular update suggests that it is a common issue that hasn't yet been satisfactorily resolved for most users. Accordingly, you could either wait to see if a satisfactory resolution emerges and/or join that discussion group to try to move things along faster.

If it were my AO722 running Win10, I'd probably choose option 3 mainly because it seems to be a general Win10 update problem, not a specific hardware problem.

Quite frankly, I have yet to see a compelling reason for changing the Win7 host on my own A0722 which also runs Linux, WinXP & Win98SE guests with VMWare.

I agree with you that choice (3) is the best.

Maybe someone else with AO722 knows this problem, so for some time I am waiting for solution.

    EDIT:

Thank you for your help and wish you Happy New Year
