Aspire V 15 Nitro VN7 592G 574M - touch pad not working

Member Posts: 5 New User

Hi,

I'm using this Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro Black edition for less than a month.

OS : Windows 10

So after updating some firmware through the Acer care center, the critical update firmware v1.17 to improve touch pad performance keep failing. And now the touch pad isn't working anymore.

Here are the firmware which were well updated:

Can you help me please? Working without a touchpad is such a mess!

  • Hi,

Try switching to Basic from Advanced in BIOS, reboot and switch back to Advanced, Basic has less functions than the Advanced.

    Hi brummyfan2,

    Thanx for the fast reply.

The BIOS setting was already set with Advanced setting by default.

Nonetheless, i tried to switch it back to Basic, reboot, then to Advanced again but it didn't solved my touchpad issue.

  • Can you able to do a system restore, go to Control panel, Security and Maintenance and then Recovery.

I wanted to avoid that because i will loose every application i Installed on that comp, but well i did it.

But even after full recovery, touchpad is still down.

I don't know whart to do...

This is a real pain, i'll will have to send it back to acer.

I had an outstanding Toshiba laptop for 9 years without any hardware/firmware/material problem, should have stick to this brand!
