How can I disable the keyboard back light permanently on my V17 Nitro Laptop

Everyitme I boot or close the cover, it comes back on.

I donèt want to have to enter F9 all the time.

I find the red light anoying.

  Thanks,

  I read all the other comments and was trying to avoid to dismantle the laptop to disconnect the light cable inside, looks like I won't have any choice

  Poor design for a new laptop...this is basic
