v5-473p failed to boot
I have a v5-473p laptop, and recently it failed to boot. Its screen stayed black, and I didn't see the Acer logo screen either. At first, I can wait for a while, such as 30 minutes, and it will load windows eventually, but now it just stays at black screen for a long time, such as over night. I also tried the power reset suggested in some other forum. I unplug its A/C power, take out the battery, press the power button for 30 seconds, put the battery back in, plug its A/C power, and turn it on. While the keyboard back light is on, the laptop has a black screen, and I can hear the cpu fan and harddrive noise occasionly. But it just doesn't boot into windows.

Have you tried connecting to an external monitor?

In this case, you are advised to log in to Windows by using safe mode and then, run CHKDSK (check disk) to check if there are any errors in your hard drive.
