cannot start recovery console to make recovery media

Hi

ive just finished setting up my new acer ES1-512, And was about to make my recovery media through the acer console in windows 8.1, and the program will not open ? i get to the part where it wants me to allow the program to make changes, but then nothing happens ? i have tried going to the file location its self to to start the program but this makes no difference, ive looked all over acers site to see if i can re-download the console but have found nothing ? can anyone help or advise me on this matter please.

This is not good.

by the way, if you want to create the recovery media, for safety reasons, you can do it using the windows integrated application (it's the same as using the Ace erecovery, the Ace erecovery it's just a trigger to start the windows application).

just follow this easy steps (it's for windows 8 but it works on 8.1 too):

Im so sorry to ask another question, but how would i go about backing my drivers up, as i do believe thats the only way to access them though the recovery console ?
