Try disabling Secure boot and see if it will boot.

Go to bios/security tab and set Supervisor password, just use 12345, go to Boot tab and disable secure boot.

To clear Supervisor password highlight it and put in password, enter, hit space bar 5 time, enter, hit space bar 5 times, enter.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. But I bought my laptop refurbished and I do not know my current BIOS password hence cannot get into the BIOS.

If you take out the memory, you'll see two contacts close together. With the power unplugged and the battery removed, short across them with something metal. It may or may not remove the pw.

    Hi,

I'm a bit of PC noob so I have no idea what a memory is or where to find it- same thing with where the battery is.
