How do I contact Acer to get a replacement keyboard for my brand new desktop?!
I bought my computer on January 1. The keyboard was defective from the beginning - the hyphen/minus sign on the numeric keypad has a life of its own. It fills my password window when I boot up, and yesterday an open text document had pages of hyphens. I've had it in more than one port and the problem shows up in both.
Anyway - I'd like to Chat with Acer (rather than making a phone call), but the system doesn't like my serial number or SNID. I got both these numbers from running the Acer tool, so I know they're right. And my computer is registered on the Acer site.
How can I get through to Acer?
Thanks, everyone!

Sharanji let me know he thought the Chat system was having problems with serial/SNID. He advised me to try again in a day or so. I tried this morning and this time the system accepted my information. The Chat agent was very pleasant and efficient - and a new keyboard is on its way. :-)
Thanks, Sharanji!
