Will Acer ever update its drivers so that I can use my laptop with Windows 8.1?

It is a Aspire M5-481PT -- and it is a laptop... not a desktop

These are not what I am looking for.  I have tried these and they do not work.  Here is a previous post that I had made: I had recently installed the new 8.1 update and noticed that my sound card stopped working intermittently.  I would go to device manager and uninstall, restart, and it would work again for a few days.  It became more frequent so I refreshed the OS, reinstalled all the updates and upgraded once again to the 8.1 and its new updates.  The sound worked for a week and now it will not work at all.  I have tried everything.  Under device manager, it states the the Bluetooth Audio Device is not working.  The only audio device listed is the Intel Display Audio.  I have downloaded the recommended drivers from the Acer site and they will not even open up to be installed.

So until I know that there is an update that allows my sound to work, I won't be updating to the windows 8.1. I am not going through all that again.

I tried those as well.  I tried every driver I could find.  Older as well as newer versions.

    Hello,

Have you checked if you have one or more devices in "conflicting device list" (Resources tab)?

Otherwise you can try to uninstall the bluetooth driver(s) and test if your sound card works correctly.

I will have to check that again if I decide to do the update anytime soon.  What I can recall is that it said either a device was not installed at all or it was working normally.  I don't remember anything inbetween.  Is there anyone I could contact directly with the issues that I have?  I feel that it will take a little more than what I can do.

Try to uninstall one of two drivers.

You can contact the Acer support of your country by email or phone but ...Smiley Frustrated

Indicate me the model of your sound card (example ALC888).

Yeah I know that won't work.  I am out of warranty and they don't want to help.  Thanks for your help tho.  Right now I am a student in veterinary school and I can't waste time trying to figure things out like that.  I have already updated twice and had to spend a lot of time trying to fix everything.  It is very frustrating.  I will have to wait and see.
