Hey @mawhitehead — I’ve been using Samsung Bluetooth earbuds for years and noticed a similar pattern: the left earbud tends to drain faster than the right. It’s surprisingly common across models, and can stem from a few things:

    • Audio imbalance: If stereo settings favor one side, that earbud works harder.
    • Call handling: One earbud often acts as the primary mic, which drains its battery faster.
    • Battery aging: Over time, individual cells degrade unevenly.
    • Charging quirks: Sometimes one bud doesn’t seat properly in the case, leading to partial charges.

You might want to fully drain and recharge the unit, or try a reset via the Galaxy Wearable app to recalibrate battery levels. If it persists, Samsung support can check for defects—especially if it’s still under warranty.

Let us know what model you’re using and we can dig deeper!

Start by testing your earbuds or headphones on another device to confirm they're functioning properly and not the source of the problem. Next, try connecting a USB audio adapter or pairing a Bluetooth speaker with your laptop to see if audio works through alternate output methods. If sound plays correctly on these external devices, it suggests the internal headphone jack or audio drivers may be at fault. In such cases, updating your audio drivers using Device Manager or by downloading the latest version from support site can help resolve compatibility or driver-related issues.

If your Aspire Go 14 is only playing audio through the right side of your paired earbuds or headphones, it's likely due to a few common issues. First, ensure both devices are fully charged and that the battery level is sufficient, as low power can sometimes cause audio issues. Then, verify that the audio balance on your laptop is set correctly; it should be centered between left and right channels. You can also try unpairing and re-pairing the devices, or checking for updated drivers or firmware for your Bluetooth devices, as outdated software can sometimes cause problems.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:
    1. Check Audio Balance:
Go to your laptop's sound settings (Start > Settings > System > Sound).
Select your Bluetooth device under "Output".
Adjust the "Balance" settings to ensure both left and right channels are at the same level, typically 100.
    2. Unpair and Re-pair:
Go to your laptop's Bluetooth settings (Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices).
Find your paired earbuds/headphones and select "Remove device".
Put your earbuds/headphones into pairing mode and re-pair them with your laptop.
    3. Check for Updates:
Ensure your laptop's operating system (Windows) is up to date.
Check if there are any available updates for your Bluetooth drivers (search for "Device Manager," expand "Bluetooth," and right-click on your device to check for updates).
Check if there are any firmware updates for your earbuds/headphones, potentially through their companion app or the manufacturer's website.
