Hey @mawhitehead — I’ve been using Samsung Bluetooth earbuds for years and noticed a similar pattern: the left earbud tends to drain faster than the right. It’s surprisingly common across models, and can stem from a few things:

    • Audio imbalance: If stereo settings favor one side, that earbud works harder.
    • Call handling: One earbud often acts as the primary mic, which drains its battery faster.
    • Battery aging: Over time, individual cells degrade unevenly.
    • Charging quirks: Sometimes one bud doesn’t seat properly in the case, leading to partial charges.

You might want to fully drain and recharge the unit, or try a reset via the Galaxy Wearable app to recalibrate battery levels. If it persists, Samsung support can check for defects—especially if it’s still under warranty.

Let us know what model you’re using and we can dig deeper!

Start by testing your earbuds or headphones on another device to confirm they're functioning properly and not the source of the problem. Next, try connecting a USB audio adapter or pairing a Bluetooth speaker with your laptop to see if audio works through alternate output methods. If sound plays correctly on these external devices, it suggests the internal headphone jack or audio drivers may be at fault. In such cases, updating your audio drivers using Device Manager or by downloading the latest version from support site can help resolve compatibility or driver-related issues.
