I asked this question a week ago, and was instructed to do a Windows 11 reinstall. I tried that and it didn't work, but nobody is responding to my continued questions.

I want this issue fixed. The computer is basically brand new.

If your new Aspire 315 (is it the 24P or 24PT as they have touchscreens) and it it doesn’t work, this is especially after a new reinstallation of Win-11 version 24H2 OS build: 26100.4770, then send your laptop back to Acer Tech Support in your country and get them to fix this issue, as it could be either a faulty screen or its cable issue or a hardware mainboard issue of your laptop, which and especially a mainboard, costs allot if you allow the Acer warranty to expire, as these laptops touchscreens either work or they don’t. Good luck

Touchscreen is a Human Interface Device. SDIO drivers (usually part of the chipset drivers) must be installed.

Start by updating your system’s drivers. If updating drivers doesn't help, and your model does have touchscreen hardware, contact Acer Support. Since your laptop is brand new, they can inspect for a hardware fault and assist with a warranty repair or replacement.

Well You your touch screen driver and make sure that it installed not missing form your system. Sometime when install windows some driver might not get installed so check for that.
