Thanks for report. Specs suggest mainboard's RAM buss should also reach its claimed 3200MHz base frequency with non-XMP 3200MHz DIMMs.

One caveat, you can't mix XMP and the stock non-XMP memory and use the overclocking. So if you want to overclock with XMP, replace the existing sticks. If you leave the existing in XMP will be disabled and you will drop back to the base speed of your XMP memory, likely 2133 or 2400.

    More detailed.

Hey, sorry to ask a year later, but how were you able to update your bios?? I purchased a DDR4 3200 MHz 2x8GB RAM stick from Corsair, but it is running at a frequency of 2128 MHz without the xmp enabled. But since the option is completely greyed out, I haven't been able to solve this issue.

Check your current BIOS version number. Newer versions may be available from this link.

Go to the PO3-640 bios at Advanced > Extreme Memory Profile ( X.M.P.) > as this item enables or disables Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) and should enable the X.M.P feature of the bios. Also make sure that you are running the last bios version R01-B1 for the PO3-640 desktop.

Note that in order to enable XMP, all memory in the system has to be XMP enabled and support the same XMP profile.

To enable XMP on an Acer Predator PO3-640 with an i7-12700F CPU, you need to access the BIOS, locate the memory settings, and enable XMP. Make sure you are running the latest BIOS version for the PO3-640, which is R01-B1. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    1. Access the BIOS: Restart your computer and press the designated key (usually Del or F2) during the startup sequence to enter the BIOS.
    2. Locate Memory Settings: Navigate to the Advanced settings within the BIOS.
    3. Enable XMP: Find the "Extreme Memory Profile" or "XMP" option and enable it.
    4. Save and Exit: Save the changes and exit the BIOS to apply the XMP settings.

    Important Considerations:

    • BIOS Update:Ensure you have the latest BIOS version (R01-B1) for the PO3-640 to ensure the XMP feature is available.
    • RAM Compatibility:Make sure your RAM is compatible with XMP. If your RAM is not XMP-capable, you might not see the XMP option in the BIOS.
    • XMP Profiles:If your RAM supports XMP, you'll typically find multiple XMP profiles. Choose the one that matches your RAM's rated speed and timings.
