hey all less of a question more of an answer because i have seen alot of people. trying to find the answer to this question hopefully this will help some of you sorry if this has already been answered. I currently have 2 sticks of XMP ram in my system overclocked via the bios setting running at 3200mhz. the way i did this was i simply updated the bios. the option was greyed out for me to so i just updated the bios and it worked. hopefully this help some people

    Thanks for report. Specs suggest mainboard's RAM buss should also reach its claimed 3200MHz base frequency with non-XMP 3200MHz DIMMs.

    One caveat, you can't mix XMP and the stock non-XMP memory and use the overclocking. So if you want to overclock with XMP, replace the existing sticks. If you leave the existing in XMP will be disabled and you will drop back to the base speed of your XMP memory, likely 2133 or 2400.
