Hello everyone Help solve the problem. I have a Predator Helios neo 16 (N23C12) laptop. Very high CPU temperature even though I just turned it on. The temperature is 80-90 degrees despite the fact that even I have not yet started working with the laptop. Please help to solve the problem.

    Hi, that CPU temp of 88°C. is normal for this laptop, the CPU sustains peaks of 100°C. and you are still well below that temp. If you worry about overheating, consider getting a silent 5-fan cooling pad for under the laptop and change the Power mode to Best Power Efficiency in Power & Battery settings.

    You can use the Task Manager to monitor and end unnecessary tasks. Make sure your BIOS and drivers are up to date, as outdated software can cause overheating. Dust accumulation in the vents can block airflow and cause overheating, so make sure the vents are clean and unobstructed. Set your laptop's fan control to a higher speed setting or use a custom configuration to increase airflow. If you feel comfortable, you might want to reapply thermal paste or get it done by a professional. Some users have found success in undervolting the CPU to reduce temperatures, but this requires careful adjustment. Lastly, using a cooling pad can help bring down the temperature by enhancing airflow.

    It's a bit ridiculous that people are just dismissing this issue without even looking at the provided information properly. You can clearly see that the CPU usage is like 7%. almost 90c for 7% is unusably bad for a gaming laptop. Hopefully someone with more reason can answer this issue.

    Hi, it might be a little late, but I'd like to share some solutions that helped me resolve the overheating issue.

    First off, 88 degrees while idling does seem a bit high. I have a PHN16-72, and when I first got it, the idle temperature was around 65°C, but gaming pushed it over 100°C. Here's what worked for me:

    1. Go to SettingsSystemPower & BatteryPower mode and set it to Best power efficiency. This helps prevent sudden CPU heat spikes.
    2. Open the Control PanelHardware and SoundPower OptionsChange plan settingsChange advanced power settings. Under Processor power management, I set the Minimum processor state to 80% and the Maximum processor state to 100% (I mostly keep my laptop plugged in).

    After applying these changes, my idle temperature dropped to 40°C, and during gaming, it stayed below 90°C.

    You may lose 5-15 FPS in games, but it’s a small trade-off compared to potentially damaging your device. Also, placing something underneath your laptop to elevate it slightly will improve airflow and can reduce temperatures by up to 10°C.

    Additionally, you can use some software tools (like optimizer.exe) to help unbloat your device and improve overall performance.

    Hello everyone, I found a solution to this problem when I opened my laptop. I saw that the CPU was not covered enough with liquid metal, so I replaced it with thermal paste and checked. The temperatures are all normal. Even if I play PUBG on maximum settings.If you look closely, you can see that on the central processor, the liquid metal did not completely cover the crystal.I do not recommend using my method, it is better to contact a service center.!!!!

    I have the same issue when using anything other than power efficient in windows settings.

    I dont mind the high temps, but the issue is games are crashing with "Access Violation" error when using performance mode or turbo mode in predator sense.

    Nothing worked for me except using the "Best PoWer Efficiency" under windows settings, which kept the CPU temps less than 80 degrees.

    After I solved the issue with the processor overheating, the laptop started working well without freezing. In games at maximum settings, the temperature of the processor and video card is 75-90 degrees. And this is with the Boost mode in the Sense program.

    thanks for the answer but are you drunk or what? The topic was specifically the laptop out of the box, I mean it's brand new, used today. And when I disassembled it I saw that the liquid metal does not completely cover the processor. This means that it is a factory defect. but I did not have the opportunity to contact the service. Therefore, I myself replaced the thermal paste with what was at hand at the moment and everything fell into place. The temperatures are normal and by the way the tests were carried out at an ambient temperature of + 37 if you sit under the air conditioner at + 21 then of course the temperatures will be lower.
