My Nitro AN515-58 came in for LCD repair only, but battery behavior changed. The serial number is suspiciously short and cycle count is missing. I suspect the battery was swapped.

After conducting a thorough hardware check using powercfg /batteryreport and system tools, I discovered the following:

  1. Battery Model: AP18E8M – matches the original model.
  2. Serial Number: Reported as “12182” – this is unusually short and inconsistent with Acer OEM battery serial formats.
  3. Cycle Count: Not reported (“-”) – a sign of either a used, reset, or non-OEM battery.
  4. Battery Health: Quick battery drain, with noticeably reduced battery life since receiving the unit.

Can someone please help me what to do because its just 2 days after I claim my laptop and noticed my battery is draining quickly, I am very careful on my battery since a purchased my laptop and even stayed it in 80% battery, I also casually uses it in gaming coz I've been more focused on productivity software's for engineering like autocad and staad.
