Is this firmware update for a monitor? If the update is for a Windows PC try booting with a Windows Recovery USB flash drive. You need to post more details.

I suggest that you first do a Hard Reset of your AIO computer (whatever model it is, as telling us the model will help) which entails taking the RTC/BIOS battery out and shorting the battery base +&- pins to reset CMOS and then taking the ram out , then leave the AIO like that for at least 30minutes so that the EC, Chipset and bios chips reset and then reconnect everything. Doing this should make your AIO computer reset and the screen should work. Good luck.

A black screen with a loading cursor on an Acer desktop can indicate various issues, from driver problems to hardware or software conflicts. Troubleshooting involves starting in Safe Mode, updating drivers, and checking for hardware problems.
Here's a step-by-step approach to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:

    1. Basic Checks:
      Restart:
Try a simple restart first. Sometimes a quick reboot can resolve temporary glitches.
      External Monitor:
Connect an external monitor to see if the issue is with the primary monitor or the computer's display output.
      Power Cycle:
Power off the computer, unplug it from the wall for a few minutes, and then power it back on.
      Check Cables:
Ensure all cables connecting the monitor, keyboard, and mouse are securely plugged in.
    2. Safe Mode:
      Access Safe Mode:
Restart the computer and access Safe Mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly during startup.
      Update Drivers:
In Safe Mode, update your graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's website or use Windows Update.
      Remove Recently Installed Software:
If you recently installed any software, try uninstalling it as it might be causing the problem.

First force restart the PC by holding the power button for 10 seconds, then turn it back on. If the recovery menu doesn’t appear, try booting into Safe Mode by force shutting down the system three times. If Safe Mode works, check for pending Windows updates under Settings → Windows Update and install them
