Acer spin 714 Everytime it comes out of sleep when it has been sleeping for a longer time,it restart
I have bought a new acer chromebook plus spil 714.
Everytime it comes out of sleep when it has been sleeping for a longer time, say over night, it restarts. This is vey annoying.
I have tried a power wash.
I have tried a full system reset
I have tried a browser setting reset.
I have uninstalled most of my apps
I have returned the chromebook and gotten the same model.
Nothing solved the issue. Is this just an acer 714 spin error that I have to learn to live with?

That is how it is, as this happens to not only the Spin range of laptops but most laptops, example, with my Predator Neo PHN16-71 the same happens, if I put the laptop to sleep overnight sometimes when your reuse the laptop you can just put the pin in and the laptop start with the OS like it was, but sometimes it completely reboots. Its an aspect of the OS not the laptop. It also doesn't have anything to do with the power settings.

While this issue happens on other laptops, this particular issue is happening for multiple people with the Acer Spin 714 Chromebook. No one has a resolution as of yet, I just passed my 14 day return window and looking for a solution as well. I don't know how to review the ChromeOS logs on why it crashes but learning how.

There have been at least five different base models of the Chromebook Spin 7 with the 14" screen. There have been hundreds of different SKUs within those five base types. The original post here doesn't specify which actual model they have, but since it's new it's not too likely it's the 1HN model from early in 2024…
