Customer Service issue with Acer service. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Aspire lapto

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Acer’s customer service? I bought an Acer laptop from The Good Guys, and it had a battery issue within the warranty period. After sending it to the Acer service center in Sydney, I received it back without any details on what was fixed. The same problem reappeared later, but by that time, my warranty had expired. The Good Guys claimed they could still process a warranty claim, but after a month of storage, they informed me that Acer wanted to charge for the repair and admitted they hadn’t actually done anything during the first repair. What can I do in a situation like this, and has anyone had similar issues with their Acer service?" and Why Acer is not going to Fix my Laptop?

Btw I'm in Sydney also, so I've got experience in consumer protection and Australian law, The only thing that you can do is get a quote of what is really wrong with your Aspire laptop, if its the battery only or the charging phase of the laptop which is a more expensive fix and Acer Tech Support should have analyzed your laptop and fixed the problem the first time you sent the laptop to them.

Acer community is not tied to Acer Australia in any way, so it can't do anything. But for Acer Australia Tech Support to admit that they didn’t do anything with your battery fault complaint the first time (make sure that you have the documents and dates for proof) is a breach of the warranty agreement and you could complain to the ACCC and get advice from them, as all Aussie consumers are protected under the warranty laws of Australia, here is some details of what you can do and enquire about this with them. Good luck.

    What the ACCC does

    • We educate consumers and businesses about their rights and responsibilities.
    • We accept reports where people consider a business is doing something they shouldn’t do. We use those reports to inform our education, compliance and enforcement work.
    • If a business breaks the rules about warranties, we can investigate. We may take some form of compliance or enforcement action. See our compliance and enforcement policy and priorities.
