I opened up my laptop and remove the battery so I can order one. But then I realize the cable can be reversed?
Is it possible to break the laptop if ever I installed the battery cable in wrong position?

Hi, the battery cable is fixed to the battery and the plug (see picture) will only fit the correct way in the battery slot on the motherboard, cannot be reversed. If you try to force the battery plug in the slot the wrong way, yes, you will reverse the polarity and damage the motherboard.

The 2 Red wires should be positioned on the side of the HDD bay, not on the fan side (see this video) How To Replacement Battery Laptop Acer E5 475G | Mr Block Fix Replacement Batter Acer Laptop

What is the full model no of your Acer Aspire E5 laptop?

To find the model number of your Acer laptop, you can check the bottom of the laptop where most Acer laptops have a sticker that includes the model number. Alternatively, you can use the System Information tool on Windows by pressing Windows + R to open the Run dialog, typing msinfo32, and pressing Enter. This will open the System Information window, where you can find the model number under "System Model."

Thanks! Also another question, is it safe to assume once i got the new ordered battery I just plug and play it?
Or is there other thing i have to do for safe installation?

When you receive your new battery for the Acer Aspire E5, there are a few steps you should follow to ensure a safe and proper installation:
Turn Off and Unplug: Make sure your laptop is turned off and unplugged from any power source.Insert the new battery into the battery bay. If it's an internal battery, connect the battery connector to the motherboard. Reattach it and secure it with the backcove and screws.
Plug in your laptop and allow the new battery to charge fully before using it on battery power. Ensure your system's battery drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the Device Manager. Following these steps should help you safely install your new battery.
