I have recently purchased a new SSD. The SSD is recognized in the bios menu. But when I want to install a new windows, the SSD is not displayed in the drive menu and I have to install the IRST every time! Even after windows instalation, I can not use facilities like recovery mode and windows defender offline scan due to the same reason. What should I do? Is There a way I can make these drivers permanent so that I don't have to install the driver in the windows instalation menu?

Hi, download the Intel IRST driver from Acer Support for your model and unzip and copy (do not install) the driver files to your installation flash drive that has the Windows11 ISO image: https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/13832-hard-disk-not-detected-during-windows-10-installation

It sounds like you have two issues and have really solved the first one. That is the need for the IRST drivers, and they do need to be installed each time you boot from the Windows install image. The second issue is with the installation itself. It sounds like it completes, but doesn't work right once done? Where did you download the install image?

Drivers come from aver and the iso is directly downloaded from microsoft.

It is such a weird problem. I have had this laptop for more than two years now. Never had such problem with the previous ssd. But this one is causing some disturbance...

Hi, you are not supposed to reinstall Windows unless to force an upgrade (not recommended), I worked with Windows 30+ years with dozens of different laptops and never had the need for reinstalling Windows, stop doing that routinely, just "Reset this PC" or "System Restore" if you have a problem.

Intel has odd licensing requirements for their IRST drivers that Microsoft doesn't care for, I believe. That is why they aren't included in the Windows install images, even though they are required on most Intel based systems. Hence the need to install the drivers each time you do a clean install of Windows. Microsoft expects you to just do a refresh or reset instead of a clean install, where it uses the existing drivers, so doesn't require that step.
