    ^Nope, already tried it. It looks like there is something hard coded, as CPU frequency and temps remains the same, and fans also are working in the same range (which is adequate for that temperature).

    In the same time, now I have less than 60C in Windows.

    Yeah. Sounds that way. Good to know. Thanks.

    Also remember that not installing the Intel® DPTF / DTT component can prevent the system from:

    • improve battery life;
    • performing Thermal management correctly;
    • prevent the correct use of Adaptive Performance modes;
    • optimize performance for CPU and iGPU dynamically.

    Bold emphasis sounds like a double-negative. So does that mean installing it can???😀:

    • improve battery life;
    • perform Thermal management correctly;
    • prevent the correct use of Adaptive Performance modes;
    • optimize performance for CPU and iGPU dynamically.

    Dear sirs,

    I'm glad you're having further discussion here, but I'm even more happy with the current numbers of my fixed system 😍

    Well that looks more like it for an idling CPU. What happens when you fire up the GPU?

    ^After idling at 90C this is quite an achievement, I would say.

    I'm not playing games without fans on Max. So it never hits 90 either.

    so glad you seem to have sorted out your issue. ive had no problems with my machine so far (touch wood) its been a nice quiet machine and very fast. i hope you continue to have good temps with everything. i came back here to see if you had the fan speeds on auto. seems all is good now though for you.

    @Rammstein Yes, no more problems so far. And I hope your machine's (and will stay) this way, too! :)
