Hi everyone, I'm still trying to find a solution on how to fix the first problem which is " Laptop won't charge even it's says Plugged in " now i encountered another problem where i can't make a powercfg /batteryreport on the cmd running as administrator, is says:

Unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x10d2) has occurred: The library, drive, or media pool is empty.

i did try to find some solution on this site and tried it but it didn't worked,
here's the discussion i found with the same issue:

https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/1132115#Comment_1132115?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=Unable+to+perform+operation.+An+unexpected+error+%280x10d2%29+has+occurred%3A+The+library%2C+drive%2C+or+media+pool+is+empty.

My laptop is 8-9 months should i replace its battery now? last week i just successfully test it and it shows my battery in good health after i fully reset my laptop i can't perform it now :(

Hi, there may be something wrong with The Command Prompt, try the same command in Windows PowerShell:

    Try these in order:

    1. Update battery drivers
    2. Run SFC scan
    3. Run DISM scan
    4. Delete previous .html file of the Battery Report
    5. Ensure Power Service is running
    6. Enable Diagnostic Policy Service
    7. Replace battery

Tried in order as what you said

    1. Update Battery Drivers: done
Updated the drivers and even tried uninstalling them then restart

    2. SFC scan: done
    See screenshot

    3. DISM scan: done
    See screenshot

    4. Delete previous .html file of the Battery Report:
I tried this but didn't find any file name as battery-report
i tried it by using run dialog and i type the: %systemdrive%\Windows\system32 and i didn't found any.

    5. Ensure Power Service is running: i did not found any services with the exact name "System Protection Service" , is there any name or term called for this service? i found this "windows security service" but if this is not, just ignore this i didn't changed anything into this service.

    6. Enable Diagnostic Policy Service: done
it was already set at automatic on the startup type menu, so i just leave it.

if you're wondering how i did this, i saw this site where there's an exact solution as you instructed so i just follow it in order.

about the Step 7, I'm still not convince that i need to replace it's battery right away because its only 8-9months old laptop, and just 2 weeks ago i posted a screenshot of my batteryreport where it's shows its healthy, is it really possible for a laptop battery to worn out that fast? if it yes then i'll just replace my battery but i still want to try to solve this.

Hi, open the Command Prompt again as Administrator and type this: cd c:\users\ your user name then run that battery report command.
You can also edit the registry: Admin CMD showing up as C:\Windows\system32> instead of C:\user\NAME> Solved - Windows 10 Forums (tenforums.com)

An 8-month-old LI-Ion battery can have a faulty Smart chip, or a refurbished cheap battery can have dead cells in one year. make that report and open the report with your Edge browser, right click and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the report to your reply, type @Puraw or use "Quote" when you reply so I will get an alert.

    • @Puraw hello sir, you're right on the account user, i remember after i reset my laptop i logged in using Microsoft account and after that i immediately logged it off and made a local account because i just want my files to be on my laptop, and now i successfully made a battery report and decided to not make any moves for now. it's says here no batteries are currently installed, what is your next suggestion here?

This battery may still fall under the one-year Acer warranty, I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country and ask them to replace the battery as it does not support Connected Standby, a prerequisite for Modern Standby protocol in Windows11 23H2 and the Smart chip inside the Li-Ion battery disabled it for some unknown reason. Include your power adapter, you should not use a USB-C charger for this gaming laptop.
