    @Aboody

Did you try to reinstall the Nvidia GPU driver with DDU?

    @AnhEZ28 no i haven't tried this method

can u help me with it

  • This is a common problem with allot of new Nitro laptops and your new V15 is no different, 😀I have an older Nitro laptop and that happened to my laptop when it was new also, that the screen goes black/blank and you can't get the image back, but the laptop is on! The only fix is a Hard Reset, which means that you need to open the laptop back cover and reset the EC and Chipset chips of the laptop. If you don't feel comfortable doing this with your new Nitro V15 laptop then send your laptop back to Acer Tech Support in your country and get Acer to fix this screen going black/blank while the laptop is on problem as its common.

If you are computer savvy and you want to open the back cover and do a Hard Reset, then do this:

Unscrew the eleven (11) screws of the back cover, pry the right edge side first to release the latches of the back cover and pry the back cover open, take the main battery out first, disconnect the bios battery and then short the bios batteries + & - pins at the mainboard plug and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for at least 15min and then reconnect everything as this will reset the laptop and the laptop will boots properly and you will not have any problems again, if you do then definitely send your laptop back to Acer Tech Support in your country Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

There is an app called Display Driver Uninstaller for fully uninstall the current Nvidia GPU driver and redownload the new driver from Nvidia website.

i have the same problem i have acer nitro v15 with i5 processor and rtx4050 gpu, everytime i play any games at high settings (which is default) i always get black screen. I also used the DDU to clean and uninstall the graphics driver but still the same. Is there another way to fix this?

Try updating your graphics drivers to fix this problem. You can also try to restart your laptop to see if the problem gets resolved.

If this problem still persists then its an internal problem of your V15 Nitro laptop, if its under warranty send the laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country and get Acer to replace the mainboard, as this problem could be from a faulty EC, Chipset or bios chips or the combinations of all that is causing this problem and the mainboard needs replacing.

If the laptop is out of the Acer warranty then take your laptop to an experienced technician and get them to replace the EC chip and reprogram the bios and see if this faulty disappears. Good luck and hope this solves this problem.

Let's try the methods below and check if any of the resolves fixes the issue.

Method 1: Perform SFC Scan and Repair Windows Image

-This process will perform scan for any corrupted system files or integrity violation and will attempt to repair it along with the Windows Image.
Open command prompt with administrator access
Type each command below and wait until scan is completed.
    sfc /scannow
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Quick note: While the command is running, it's expected to see the process stuck at 20 or 40 percent. After a few minutes, the process will complete successfully.
Once you complete the steps, the Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool will connect to the Windows Update servers to download and replace any damaged files in the local image for Windows 10 as necessary.
    Close the command prompt.

    Method 2: Perform Clean Boot
This process will eliminate 3rd party application running in the background of your computer along with services that are not needed to run windows. If there's any conflicting 3rd party application that causes the issue on your computer, this process will stop it.
Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig
System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.
On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.

    Click on services tab
Put a check mark on Hide All Microsoft Services > This is a very important part as if you miss to click on this, computer might not boot properly or permanently and will end up on clean installation.
Once Hide all Microsoft Services have checked mark on it, click on Disable All
Click on the Startup Tab and click open task manager. This will open another window which contains all your startup applications on the administrator account.
Disable all application that you're not using. You can simply just click on them and select disable.
Click OK , Apply and close the configuration utility.

    Method 3: Update Driver
Open run box by pressing Windows Key + R and type devmgmt.msc then hit enter
Locate and expand Mice and other pointing devices
Right-click HID-compliant mouse and select Update driver
    Select Search automatically for drivers
Wait for the process to complete, once completed, restart your computer and check if it resolves your issue.

    Method 4: Roll-back driver
Open run box by pressing Windows Key + R and type devmgmt.msc then hit enter
Locate and expand Mice and other pointing devices
Right-click HID-compliant mouse and select Update driver
Select Browse my computer for drivers
Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
Select any older driver from the list and click next
Wait for the process to complete, once completed, restart your computer and check if it resolves your issue. Hope this helps.
