I just brought this pc and quite like it. The one problem I see is the CPU sits kind of hot. I have looked around for the right size AIO to install, but can't find right size to buy. If someone can enlighten me as to what size AIO I should get that would be greatly appreciated. The PC model is PO5-655-UB22.

Community members that own these Predator PO5-6xx desktops don't fit AIO cpu cooler but use the just as efficient Noctua cpu coolers range. The bigger Noctua NH-Noctua U12S NH-U12S chromax.black is ideal and suitable for the PO5-655 desktop, or you can also fit the smaller NH-U9S Chromax. black that also has an option of having two cooling fans, come in Intel Socket LGA1700 to fit your desktop and will fit your Predator PO5-655 desktops, so look at those coolers as these are the best cpu cooling solutions for the Predator range of desktops. Good luck'

Also, it helps when you post this type of question to show what temperatures you are seeing. We've had people say "it's running too hot!" and then we find they are in the 70sC under load. :)

Idle 45c to 60c. Under load 85c to 95c. Might skirt 100c while gaming.

if you're going air cooler get the dual fan Noctua NH-U12A.

or something similar that's a dual fan air cooler.

i can only assume the 655 uses the same case as my 640 and a 240 will not fit inside because of space restrictions.

so, you would have to modify it somehow.

I just bought one 2 weeks ago from Best Buy and am having the same issues. GPU temps are fine, but getting 80-100 when gaming. I am unsure if I take it back to Best Buy and get another, or if I should just replace the fan? I am afraid of voiding the warranty though and am wondering if any damage has been done to CPU?

Has anyone else solved this problem?

    Thanks!

well like in any lower cost gaming pc they ALL come with subpar cooling.

so, your choices are get one with liquid cooling and no less than a 360 AIO or install a high-quality air cooler preferably a dual fan design.

also, ambient room temps matter a lot, and most don't realize this.

i know BestBuy very well if you let me know your budget and i can help find you something with better cooling if you don't want to deal with changing out the cooler yourself.

    just pm me.

Getting into the 80s isn't an issue really, getting close to 100, especially if it's steady near there, means it's throttling due to the heat. When that's happening while gaming then a cooling revamp is definitely called for. You need to look at warranty terms for your locale, since warranties are different in different countries. Typically though putting something like the Noctua NH-U12A in doesn't affect the warranty.

Let me play a little and I will screenshot the temps for you to see. I am definitely open to upgrading the cooling. It doesn't seem to difficult from what I have watched. Do you know if the NH-U12A would 100% fit, or what I am looking for in terms if compatibility?

I am going to do it. Can you let me know what all I need, or what you would recommend as far as parts, tools, etc.? Also, how did you mount the fan up top?

I really appreciate the help bro!

Here is a screenshot. I just downloaded and started playing Far Cry 5. Here are the really high temps. Anything I can do in the meantime until fan gets here and I install it? I have the CPU fans turned all the way up.

    nope nothing will help.

as far as the cooler there are 2 options- use the acer back place like i did and get 4-m3x10mm screws or use the intel hardware and remove the motherboard to mount it all.

as far as the top fan-fans i used 1-1/4 long screws number 8 with matching nuts going up nuts on the top.
