Using Alt-F10 at boot or using Acer Care Center (or the equivalent for your model) to initiate the reset will do a reset with the factory image. Using the Windows path to reset will reset with the generic Windows version. The latter means all the Acer tools and 'bloatware' won't be there any longer. The user interface to both looks the same, it's just the results that are different.

Type Restore in the Search bar and click on 'Create a restore point", at the top left click on "System Restore" and select a date when the camera was still working.

Unfortunately, there is no such restore point available.

Then type "Reset" in Search and select Reset this PC without losing my files or use the Restore option in AcerSense/Acer Care Center.

Thank you Puraw. Have done almost everything else except the "reset", just not willing to start building up the device from the beginning - but you're right, reinstalling the software needs just couple of evenings. Only thing that cannot be sure if it helps…
Have to look up if the Restore option in Acer's bloatware is different. Haven't had time to remove them, yet ;)

    I'll let you know

OK, Acer bloatware leads to that same windows reset.

Not really typically, the Acer version uses the Windows code, but reinstalls the factory image rather than a vanilla Windows.

Now I understand. This was important information, thank you.

I'm a bit slow, sorry (And maybe this foreign language takes a part, too ;)
