Recommended to have two matching RAM modules (kit) that will run in Dual Channel Mode at 2400MHz, best to add 1 x 8GB-2400MHz to the existing SODIMM but make sure the speed, timing (CL) and ranking are identical, best to Googe the part number of the existing 8GB module.
