What does NitroSense app show as CPU and GPU temperatures when under heavy gaming load? Also, click on battery charge icon in tray. Is slider all the way to best performance?

having this aswell, cannot run any games anymore

    AN515-57

this seems like a fairly common thing, and has actually been happening ever since i bought the laptop, however i used to be able to disable and enable the GPU in device manager to fix, but recently that has stopped working.

i have tried factory resetting, updating all drivers, tried every power mode, nothing works.

games run fine on battery, when its suddenly unlocked from 20 wattage, however battery life gaming is impossible with this short life.

my laptop has also been having an issue where it is VERY slow until i launch throttlestop after i log in to unlock max performance, for example when start up the laptop it takes about 6 minutes to boot instead of a few seconds, it takes about 7 seconds for things to register.

does anyone have any idea why this is happening? is this laptop just faulty and should i just give up on it, think i got warranty laying around somewhere.

    😕

Is it capped immediately on loading? Or does it take more than ~10 seconds?

    I have a AN517-52 with a 3060

Got the same problem, except that power was capped at 30W. The problem occurred after a driver update (537.42).

I solved the problem by staying with the driver 537.34.

Go to this link. Enter your full model number. Then download and install the Acer VGA OEM nVidia update for your particular nvidia graphics adapter.

just reset your battery. Hold power button (15-20 second) until its go off, unplugged your charge, wait about 15-20 minutes, and plugged in again. Your case is the same as mine.
