Hello,
I've got a problem with my Acer Predator Helios 300 that I'm not able to solve.
For some time now, my computer, after coming out of sleep mode, fails to start up. There's only a black screen, and I can't do anything. Therefore, I need to use force shutdown to turn it off and then restart it.
A week ago, when I had to perform the same procedure, upon turning on the PC, it displayed the "no bootable device" screen. I attempted to enter the BIOS, and it showed no connected storage. At this point, I searched online and tried various methods to resolve the issue:
- I disconnected and reconnected the SSD from the PC (leaving the PC on in the BIOS without the SSD for an hour).
- I started the PC with a bootable flash drive using Windows 11 media creation tool and attempted to fix the boot problems.
- In the media creation tool, I went to the command prompt and entered the following code lines:
bootrec /rebuildbcd
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
The fixboot command doesn't work; it says "access denied."
- I also tried using the commands:
diskpart
list disk
It shows a volume of about 400GB, which should be the SSD. However, when I ask for the list of volumes with the command: select disk disk, there is only one volume 0, which is that of the flash drive.
I don't know what else to do. I reached out to Acer for a repair (my PC is still under warranty), but they redirected me to the technical team. I wanted to seek advice on the forum because the only thing that comes to mind is that the SSD is damaged.
Thank you for whoever will answer me.
